●IWASHI NO SHYOU-YU
YAKI- Soy Sauce Grilled Sardine

<Ingredients>
8 sardine each about 80g
Grilling sauce:
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons mirin(sweetened rice wine)
red and white 'namasu'(pickled
turnip and carrot)
1)Clean the sardine with water and then pat dry with
a cloth. Place it on a
rectangular plate and pour the sauce. Let it rest for
about 30 minutes for
the seasoning to settle.
2)Place the sardine in the grill (grill used at regular
homes is like a mini oven
with flame burning within at the ceiling )and brown
both sides.
3)Serve on a plate with red and white namasu as garnish.
